OUR STORY

Sally and Russell Davis started their careers at Commander's Palace Restaurant in New Orleans. Sally worked in marketing and event planning, while Russell worked in operations. Together, they share a love for food, wine, and hospitality. They both dreamed of creating something special together someday. Russell opened Saltwater Grill in 2004 in New Orleans. Sally worked as Brand Manager at McIlhenny Company, traveling the country and gaining an appreciation for the South's culinary heritage.

Eager to return to Sally's hometown and large extended family, the couple arrived in Baton Rouge in 2015 and felt the timing was finally right to combine their experiences and talents to create a restaurant concept of their own. In 2018, they opened in Capital Heights as JED’s Local Poboys. In 2023, JED’s was rebranded with a revamped menu to include the crowd's favorite poboys along with locally inspired appetizers, salad, and entree offerings Russel says will marry American classics with Louisiana favorites.

Sally and Russel are excited to offer their customers high-quality scratch cooking for a great value at JED’s.
